Who Is Eligible For Semaglutide?
The ideal candidate would have a BMI of 30 or a BMI of 27 with comorbidities (i.e., elevated blood pressure, sleep apnea, elevated cholesterol, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, etc.).
Individuals who are ineligible for treatment include the following:
- Medullary Thyroid Cancer
- Multiple endocrine neoplasia
- Type 1 Diabetics
- Type 2 Diabetics taking a GLP-1 medication
- History of pancreatitis
- Chronic kidney disease
- Nursing, Pregnant, or trying to become pregnant
How Often Do I Need To Come In?
You will come in once a week for your injection and a check-in with your provider.
How Is Semaglutide Administered?
Semaglutide is administered via a subcutaneous (under the skin) injection, typically in your abdomen.
How Soon Will I See Results?
Most patients typically see results within one month.
